A charming end-terrace cottage for five — with a wood burner stove and an enclosed garden overlooking the fields — the quieter, traditional base on a working organic farm seven minutes from Jedburgh.
Wild Rose is a charming end-terrace cottage with two bedrooms — a double with views over the open countryside, and a triple that can be set as a double and a single or as three singles, sleeping five in all. The separate ground-floor bathroom has a shower over the bath. With its wood burner stove and more traditional feel, it’s the quieter of the two cottages — a favourite with couples and small families who want to slow right down.
Every stay starts with a welcome tray of Lucy’s home baking. Outside there’s an enclosed lawned garden overlooking the fields, with garden furniture and a BBQ, plus ample private parking.
Outside: an enclosed lawned garden overlooking the fields with garden furniture and a BBQ, ample private parking, and a tennis court nearby you’re welcome to book with Lucy. Farm walks, a picnic area and the wildlife hide are all on the doorstep. (Owl Cottage next door is the dog-friendly option.)
Wild Rose sits at the end of the farm drive on Matt and Lucy’s organic farm, with the field next door often grazed by sheep or cattle and wide views towards the Cheviot Hills. Follow the signposted Duck, Squirrel and Badger walks, watch for buzzards and deer, or settle into the hide beside one of the nine ponds.
