On the tour

Real farming, told well

On the tour, Lucy shares the Tile family’s story — how she went from a ‘towny’ to a farmer, learning to work with sheep and cattle and drive a tractor — alongside how the farm turned organic in 2005 and, in her words, ‘accidentally fell into conservation’.

You’ll get up close to the wool-shedding sheep and fattening cattle, hear about the ‘big three’ essentials for birdlife and which species are on the conservation watch list, and see why they’ve planted over 40,000 trees and miles of hedges across the farm.
